A 54-year-old woman named Maneja Khatun died after being buried under a house in Lalmohan upazila of Bhola due to Cyclone Remal. The incident took place at the house of Abdul Quader Mia of ward number 7 of West Charoumed Union of the upazila on Monday morning.

The water of Padma river is receding in Ishwardi of Pabna. But not much fish is available in the river. Many frustrated fishermen are wrapping their nets. The fish cannot be seen due to the rising tide. But fishermen hope to catch fish again soon.

Due to the flood caused by Cyclone Rimel, embankments broke in different areas of Dakop, Koira and Paikgacha upazilas of Khulna. In Khulna, 55 points of embankment broke and numerous villages were submerged by overflowing tidal water. Thousands of people are trapped in water. About 77 thousand houses were destroyed. About 4 lakh 52 thousand 200 people were affected by the storm. Apart from this, crop fields, fences and ponds were washed away by salty water.
