Human chain and protest against UP Chairman Shaukat Ali in Delduar on corruption charges

Fazilhati Union Parishad Chairman of Delduar Upazila of Tangail. Residents of the area staged a protest march and human chain against Shaukat Ali on corruption charges.
On Wednesday at 11 am in front of the Fazilhati Union Parishad of Delduar Upazila, the people of the area led by the former chairman Tofazzal Hossain demanded his resignation accusing him of corruption and various irregularities.
Azizul Haque, former member of Ward No. 8 of Fazil Hati Union Parishad spoke, besides Nurul Islam, Masudur Rahman, Shafiqul Islam, Sentu Mia, Lutfar Rahman, Rafiq Mia, Zafar Mia, Shahin Mia, Masud Mia, Abul Kalam and others.
Manabbandhan former chairman Tofazzal Hossain said in his speech that the previous government fell through the movement of anti-discrimination students. Now I demand the immediate resignation of those who are corrupting this Union Parishad by participating in the illegal elections of the previous government”.
Azizul Haque, general secretary and former member of Nationalist Party of Fazilhati Union, said that during the illegal government, Shaukat Ali passed fake votes in the illegal elections and withdrew money without doing any work by bringing many items in the name of the union. Shaukat chairman has illegally withdrawn money from various sectors including BGB, widow card, maternity allowance and has caused damage to the public. We want his resignation.
Shafiqul Islam said, as a result of the August 5 students' movement, a new Bangladesh has returned to this country after leaving the country of murderers. But his nefarious accomplice Shaukat Ali still remains in the sanctum sanctorum of the Union Parishad. I demand the immediate resignation of Shaukat Chairman who was passed by fake vote.”
Besides, from the statements of the public who participated in the procession and standard-setting, it is known that "Chairman Md. Shawkat Ali has committed corruption in various sectors in the Union Parishad office by passing fake votes during the Awami League government."
More than three hundred people and various political leaders participated in the standard-setting.
