Police have arrested Mariyam Begum, also known as Badni, the controversial former Female Vice Chairman of Anwara Upazila in Chattogram. She was arrested on Saturday (10 December) around 9:00 pm from the North Bandar area under Karnafuli Police Station.

Water level in Kaptai Lake reaches danger level, preparations underway to open sluice gates

The water level in Kaptai Lake in Rangamati has reached danger level due to continuous rain and water coming down from upstream.
