Students of anti-discrimination movement caught tampering with meter machine at a pump while monitoring filling station or petrol pump in Jessore.

On Monday (September 2) afternoon, based on the information provided by the students, the officials of BSTI along with the students raided the petrol pump in Sarzamin and found the fact of cheating the consumers in the sale of oil. After that BSTI officials sealed Octane, Petrol, Diesel, Dispensing Unit (Digital Meter Machine) of Rajnigandha Filling Center.

Masum Billah and Jesina Murshid, one of the leaders of the anti-discrimination student movement Jessore, told Morenews that after the announcement of the new price of fuel and its implementation, a group of students led by them, led by them, observed rigging in the sale of petrol at the Rajnigandha filling center. they are Then on Monday morning BSTI Deputy Director Engineer Aslam informed the matter. Immediately BSTI officials conducted an operation with the students at Rajnigandha Filling Center in Sarzamin. At that time, the digital meter machine at the petrol pump was found to be deceiving the consumers by paying 150 ml less per 10 liter octane and 60 ml less per 10 liter petrol and selling 1000 20 ml less oil per 10 liter diesel.

The officials of BSTI sealed the octane, petrol, diesel, dispensing digital unit (machine) of that pump due to fraud. At this time, District BSTI Inspector Md. Rakib Islam and Field Officer Khaled Hossain were present.

Engineer Aslam Sheikh, Deputy Director of BSTI told Morenews that when the students told us, they were taken along with them and an operation was conducted at the Rajnigandha filling center. At that time, 3 machines of that pump were sealed due to errors and fraud found in the digital machine of that pump.

He also said that the students will be fully supported in monitoring petrol pumps. Whenever they find discrepancies we will take immediate action.
