Allegation of recruitment trade against the President and Acting Principal

Acting principal and former president of the managing committee of Khaser Hat Syed Abul Hossain School and College in Kalkini of Madaripur have been accused of forming an illegal appointment board and appointing the preferred candidate to the post of college principal in exchange of money for irregularities, corruption and fraud. For this, the acting principal of this school and college Harun-Or Rashid and the former president demanded to cancel the illegal appointment and legally appoint the school's managing committee members and the deprived and aware residents.

Meanwhile, in this incident, the donor members, guardians and conscious circles of the institution filed a written complaint demanding the cancellation of the appointment in various government offices. According to the written complaint and school sources, in exchange of a large amount of money (August 10) the former president of the college Abdullah Al Mamun and the acting principal Harunur Rashid and the principal of Madaripur Government College went to Khaser Hat Syed Abul Hossain School in upazila very secretly without considering the unstable situation of the country. People have been appointed to the post of principal in the college. Meanwhile, the appointment letter was issued on the 11th. By creating fake vouchers, the money and allowances that were collected from the students in the college were embezzled from various funds including not being deposited in the school fund.

According to the written complaint, local residents and parents, members of the managing committee, donor members, the acting principal of Khaser Hat Syed Abul Hossain School and College of Kalkini Upazila, Harun-Or Rashid and the former president of the managing committee, Abdullah Al Mamun. He was the Forest and Environment Affairs Secretary of Awami League and former VP of Chhatra League of Madaripur Government Nazim Uddin College. He became the president of this college by using the power of the local parliamentarian Golap.

With their connivance, extensive corruption and irregularities and in exchange of money, on August 10, they hastily completed the process of appointing a person named Yamin Dhali for the post of principal. Although there were several people who applied for this position, only three applied and these three were relatives of the acting principal. As a result, he made one of his relatives, Yamin Dhali, pass the recruitment test. Later on 11th August, he was given the joining letter. Discussions and criticisms were created among the committee and local residents. He filed a written complaint against various government departments demanding the cancellation of the appointment. In this regard, the residents said that the principal of the school secretly formed a recruitment board with people of his choice for this recruitment. Several members including the parent member of the managing committee, Masood Khan, complained that they are trying to legitimize this appointment by keeping the information secret by giving a secret notification. He claimed that the 5-member recruitment board was completely illegal.

Mozafar, another member of the school, said that the principal did not inform us about the date of recruitment board and recruitment exam. Corruption and irregularities have undermined the reputation of the institution and have been strategically appointed. Donor member of the school, Alhaj Babul Akon, said that apart from the selected parent members of the managing committee, the recruitment board included DG representative Md. Zaman Mia, Principal of Madaripur Government College, DC representative Additional District Administrator Education, former managing committee president Abdullah Al Mamun and Acting Principal Haroon-Or Rashid. The former president and the acting principal and some members of the governing body and the teachers together have appointed the preferred candidates with a large amount of money. They also alleged that everyone embezzled money from various sectors of the school, including the trade of 20 lakh rupees in recruitment. Meanwhile, acting principal of Khaser Hat Syed Abul Hossain School and College, Harun-Or Rashid said, I have been appointed legally. However, he tactfully avoided taking bribes of lakhs of rupees from the candidates. Khaser Hat Syed Abul Hossain School and College Acting Principal Harun-Or Rashid called several times on his mobile phone but there was no response. The former president of the managing committee, Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun, said, "Everything has been done according to the rules." Candidates are appointed transparently.'Some miscreants say this to harass me. On the appointment day one of our lawyers died, I went to his funeral as a lawyer. The representative of DG Madaripur Government College Principal Md. Zaman Mia said, "I do not know whether recruitment-trade and finance has been done." They can say that. In this regard, Kalkini Upazila Nirbahi Officer Uttam Kumar Das said, I have heard that he has complained to various departments demanding cancellation of appointment. Madaripur District Education Officer Mohammad Habibullah said, Kalkini Khaserhat Syed Abul Hossain School and College has not yet received any complaint regarding the appointment of principal. If complaints are received, action will be taken subject to investigation.
