Indian student leader Neha Bora has remarked that the struggle of Bangladeshi students has served as an inspiration for the ongoing youth-led movement in India. According to her, the movements led by the youth in both countries share common ground regarding education, freedom of expression, and a stance against religious fundamentalism.
She made these remarks in a video message released on the occasion of the 6th National Conference of the Socialist Student Front on Wednesday (October 14), as reported by *Ittefaq*.
Neha Bora, the All-India President of the All India Students Association (AISA), noted that just as students in Bangladesh protested against religious fundamentalism, young people in India are campaigning against various policies of the Narendra Modi government.

She drew parallels between the situation in Indian educational institutions and the allegations regarding the suppression of critical thinking and freedom of expression in Bangladeshi universities.
At the same time, the student leader called for greater mutual cooperation among the youth of South Asia. She believes that the exchange of experiences and unity among students from neighboring countries are crucial for building a better future.
Meanwhile, Neha Bora has garnered attention for her participation in recent protests in India. She is playing an active role in the ongoing movement demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and the cancellation of the voter list revision process.

International media outlet Reuters has also highlighted Neha Bora as one of the prominent faces of the youth-led protest movement in India.
