The school student who was burnt in the fire died fighting with death for 27 days.

Ihtashimul Haque Tesham (17), a disabled school student, died in a fire on August 5 after fighting with death for 27 days. He died while undergoing treatment at the burn and plastic surgery department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Sunday. On Monday morning, the student's body was buried at the family grave site on Sikdar Road, Ward No. 1 of Amtali Municipality.
Disabled mother Illin Begum and father Rabiul Islam are saddened by the loss of their son.
It has been reported that after Sheikh Hasina left the country on August 5, a group of miscreants set fire to the house of Amtali Municipality Mayor Matiar Rahman. Ihtashimul Haque Tesham, son of Rabiul Islam, a 10th grade student of Amtali Technical School and College, a resident of Sikder Bari Road, Ward No. 1 of Amtali Town, was trapped in the second floor of that house. The student was stuck in the mayor's house for about two and a half hours. He got caught in the fire and got seriously injured. Later locals and relatives rescued him and took him to Amtali Upazila Health Complex. The doctors of that hospital sent him to Barisal Medical College Hospital for better treatment. After four hours of treatment at that hospital, he was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for better treatment. He was treated for 27 days in the burn and plastic surgery department of that hospital. He died at around 11:30 on Sunday after fighting with death for 27 days. On the news of his death, the area was mourned. Mother Illin Begum and two younger brothers Sheikh Md. Asadullah Raihan and Sheikh Hossain Ahmed Toha are devastated after losing their son. His elder brother Raihan is a Class IX student at Amtali Technical School and his younger brother Wabda is in Infant Class at Government Primary School. On Sunday afternoon, the funeral prayers of Ihtashimul Tesham were held at Dhaka Central Shaheed Minar. That night, Tesham's body was brought to the house of Sikdar Road, Ward No. 1 of Amtali Municipality. His body was buried in the family cemetery after the second funeral prayers on Monday morning. The impoverished Ihtashimul Haque Tesham worked as an electrician in addition to his studies. The family of mother and three brothers is supported by his income. Desperate family over Tesham's death.
Neighbor Annie Akhter said, Ihtashimul Haque Tesham Khul was a good boy. But his death cannot be accepted at all. Besides studying, Tesham worked as an electrician. The family was supported with that income.
Mezh brother Sheikh Mohammad Asadullah Raihan said, my brother was killed by miscreants. God will judge this murder.
Disabled mother Illin Begum said in a tearful voice, I have nothing left. Kare loiya mui bachamu. The electricity would go out after I was sleeping in my bed. My life was run with his income. Can't I say this? Lamented and said, "O Allah, did I take such a loss from you, my gold necklace is taken from my lap?"
Amtali Police Station OC Kazi Sakhawat Hossain Tapu said, I have come to know about the matter. The body of the school student was buried in the family graveyard.
