Incidentally, there was tension throughout the day on Sunday regarding the attack on doctors in DM. The doctors of the country's government hospitals observed a 'complete shutdown' from Sunday morning for four-point demands, including the arrest and trial of the attackers, ensuring a safe workplace.
A case was registered in Shahbag police station regarding the attack on doctors and patients. Dhaka Medical office assistant Amir Hossain filed the case as plaintiff.
After receiving the assurance that the demands will be fulfilled, the doctors suspended the strike yesterday around 8:30 pm and returned to work after about 12 hours. They also gave a 24-hour ultimatum by suspending the program till 8 pm on Monday.
