Formation of new committee of Primary Teachers Association in Kalihati

Finally, after various ups and downs, the new committee of Kalihati Upazila branch of Bangladesh Primary Teachers Association has been formed. The previous committee was dissolved and the new committee was announced in the general meeting held at the Upazila Hall Room on Thursday, September 5, at 2 pm. In the meeting, a 51-member committee was formed with Mofidul Islam as president and Shafiqul Islam as secretary.
Opening of the meeting: At the beginning of the meeting a brief report on the activities of the old committee is presented, where the achievements of the previous committee and future plans are discussed. Thereafter, the old committee was declared dissolved by the consent of all the members present.
Announcement of the new committee: President Mofidul Islam in his speech highlighted the objectives and future plans of the newly elected committee. He said, "This committee will work sincerely for the improvement of the quality of primary education and the welfare of teachers." General Secretary Shafiqul Islam also promised the responsible role of the committee towards the teachers in his speech.
Advisory Council: In the same meeting, the list of the 11-member advisory council headed by Asaduzzaman was also announced. It is said that the advisory council will provide advice and guidance in improving the quality of primary education.

Reception and Congratulations: Kalihati Press Club President Ranjan Krishna Pandit, Past President Shah Alam, General Secretary Mushfiqur Rahman Milton, Vice Presidents Kamrul Islam and Raisul Islam, and journalists Syed Mohsin Habib and Shubhra Majumdar were present to welcome the newly elected committee. They assured their full support and cooperation to the newly formed committee.
Also, the former committee president and general secretary congratulated and wished the new committee and said, "With the new leadership, the progress of primary education will be accelerated."
Expectations and pledges: The newly elected committee members reiterated their pledge that they will continue to make every effort to improve the quality of primary education and the welfare of teachers. They also said that they will keep in constant communication with all the primary teachers at the upazila level and try to solve their problems.
