Family wants to trace missing Pabna Abdul Ghaffar Piyas

On December 4, 2016, after treating his mother Saleha Khatun at the hospital, Abdul Ghaffar Piyas returned home and ate and drank together with his mother. After finishing eating and drinking, he sat in his brother's shop to help his brother.
That day around 2:30 pm, some people in white clothes came and took away his mobile phone and asked him to come out. As soon as he came out, he forced himself into the white microbus and left. Since then, Abdul Ghaffar Piyas has been missing for the past 8 years.
Family members held a press conference at Pabna Press Club Auditorium on Monday (September 2) asking for the return of missing victim Abdul Ghaffar Piyas. Abdul Ghaffar Piyas is the son of late Harunur Rashid of Library Bazar, Pabna city.
The family members said that after the incident, they went to the police station to file a GD, but the police did not take the GD. However, the police have interrogated the family members on various occasions regarding his cremation, movement and religious activities. After passing out from Piyas Madrasah, he completed his Diploma Engineering from Pabna Polytechnic Institute in 2014 and was trying to get admission in B.Sc. He was pious, but not involved in any politics. No matter what crime he commits, he should be tried according to the law. But the family members want to find him.
Other family members including mother Saleha Khatun, brothers Abdul Halim, Abdul Hamid, sister-in-law Sumaiya Mim, Shampa Khatun and Suraiya Khatun were present in the press conference.
