Call for unity to make the sheaf of rice victorious—BNP's election preparation meeting in Krittipasha Union of Jhalakathi
In view of the upcoming national elections, an election preparation meeting was held at the initiative of Ward No. 8 BNP of Krittipasha Union of Jhalakathi. Speakers at the meeting said that BNP has reached this stage today through a long movement, struggle and sacrifice. We will have to make all-out preparations to make the sheaf of rice victorious in the next elections as well by staying united in the field.
Jhalakathi District Representative Md. Nadim Sharif said that the leader of Probashi Kalyan Upazila BNP, Md. Rezaul Hasan Munna, spoke as the chief guest at the meeting. He said that BNP is being reorganized under the leadership of Tarique Rahman. In order to restore the lost rights of the people, every grassroots leader and activist will have to reach the doorsteps of the common people and conduct strong mass communication in favor of the sheaf of rice. He also said that everyone should work together in the field to make the rice field victorious.
Speaking as a special guest, former General Secretary of Krittipasha Union BNP Khandaker Mehedi Hasan Rubel said that a group is deliberately trying to mislead the common people. To stop these propaganda, BNP leaders and activists must remain vigilant, organized and united. He emphasized on further strengthening organizational strength.
The meeting was presided over by Ward No. 8 BNP President Md. Badal Hawlader. Ward No. 8 BNP General Secretary Md. Swapan Hawlader, Krittipasha Union BNP Convener Md. Moniruzzaman, Union Krishak Dal General Secretary Ziaur Rahman Liton, Jhalakathi District Chhatra Dal Co-Organizing Secretary Md. Hafizur Rahman Nayan and Shuvo Howlader, Zilla Tati Dal member Sona Mallick, Krittipasha Jubo Dal senior joint convener Nazrul Islam and joint convener Tarequl Islam, and party leaders and activists from various levels.
The speakers also said that everyone will be in the field unitedly for the person the party nominates. Even though BNP leaders and activists have been subjected to oppression and torture for 17 years, they have not left the streets—they expressed their firm conviction that they will not leave in the future either.
At the end of the meeting, the leaders and activists pledged to work unitedly to make the paddy sheaf symbol victorious.
