Housewife dies of electrocution while cooking rice on magic stove

A housewife named Nasima Begum (35) tragically died after being electrocuted while cooking rice on a magic stove (induction/infrared cooker) in Panchagarh Sadar Upazila.

The accident occurred on Friday (July 24) morning at her home in Chaklahat Union of Sadar Upazila. The deceased Nasima Begum is the wife of Shafiq of the area.

According to family sources, Nasima was electrocuted after hearing a loud noise while cooking rice on a magic stove in the kitchen in the morning. Neighbors rescued her and quickly took her to Panchagarh Adhunik Sadar Hospital, where the doctor on duty declared her dead.

The deceased's daughter Maisha Akhter said that she was studying at home when she suddenly heard a loud noise and ran to the kitchen and saw her mother lying on the floor. When she was rescued and brought to the hospital, the doctor said that her mother was no longer alive.

The resident doctor of the emergency department of Panchagarh Adhunik Sadar Hospital said that the woman who was electrocuted died before she was brought to the hospital.
