The government has issued a curfew to control the law and order situation in the country in view of the one-point demand for the fall of the government from the anti-discrimination student movement. The coordinators of the movement rejected the indefinite curfew from 6 pm on Sunday (August 4).
On Sunday (August 4) at 4 pm, the coordinators of the quota reform movement announced this information on the social media Facebook.
Hasnat Abdullah, one of the coordinators, wrote on social media that after one round, their orders are no longer effective. For that, the curfew announced from 6 pm has been cancelled.
Another coordinator Asif Mahmud wrote in a Facebook post, after being defeated in the streets today, Shakti Awami League has announced a curfew to bring the army and the people face to face. Attempts to suppress the movement by political activists have failed completely.
He also wrote, there will be a call to the army not to step into the Awami League's trap and stand in front of the people. The protesting students will appeal to every army member to support the country and the people. The students do not obey any curfew ordered by the murderer Hasina. Our movement and program will continue.
