UAE and Saudi Arabia to hire 1.5 million new workers

While there is a fear of job losses due to the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) technology around the world, the opposite is seen in the Middle East. The United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia will need a large number of new workers in the coming years. A joint global study by US-based ServiceNow and UK-based Pearson, published in 2025, said that more than 1.5 million additional workers will be needed in these two countries by 2030. Geo News reported this information.
The research report said that although AI is changing the nature of work, it is not reducing the needs of people. On the contrary, the number of new businesses and projects is increasing due to increased productivity, due to which the demand for skilled manpower is also increasing. There is a threat of a major labor shortage, especially in construction, tourism, healthcare and technology-dependent sectors.
The country's 'Vision 2030' program is playing a major role behind this increased labor demand in Saudi Arabia. The report states that the country's labor market is likely to expand by about 11.6 percent in the next few years due to massive investments in mega projects, logistics and new economic zones.
On the other hand, the labor market in the United Arab Emirates is also growing rapidly. According to forecasts, the country's labor force is likely to increase by about 12.1 percent by 2030. According to experts, these two countries will create major employment opportunities in the coming days for foreign workers with digital skills and technical knowledge.
