              Medical College not opening now: Department of Health Education

              The government-private medical colleges which were closed due to violence and agitation for quota reforms in government jobs are not opening now. If the situation in the country normalizes, the medical college will be opened according to the government's instructions, said the Directorate of Health Education.

              The young students of Bangladesh have received two bronze medals and four honorable mentions in the International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO). In the 65th World Series of Mathematics, the Bangladesh team secured the 65th position by getting a total of 83 marks. A total of 609 students from 108 countries participated in this event this year. 81 of them are girls.

              Due to the quota reform movement, the admission process for Class XI in the academic year 2024-25 was suspended. The college admission process will start again from July 28. The admission process will continue till August 1. At the same time, the classes of the students admitted online in class XI in the current academic year will start on Tuesday, August 6. This information was informed in a notification of the Dhaka Education Board yesterday on Wednesday.
