Out of the remaining 7 percent, 5 percent will be reserved for the children of heroic freedom fighters as before. Of the remaining 2 percent, 1 percent has been kept for the children of the Ministry of Education and 1 percent of the officials working in the agencies under the Ministry. As before, if there are no students in these seats, it will be considered in merit quota. In case of quota, if the number of applicants is more, the list will be based on merit.

There were 20 lakh 13 thousand 597 candidates in SSC and equivalent exams in 11 education boards. Among them 16 lakh 72 thousand 153 passed. There are about 25 lakh seats available for admission in Class XI across the country.
