A case has been filed in the court in the name of 90 people in the case of 4 people killed in a clash with Awami League and its affiliates and police and local villagers in Singair of Manikganj in 2013, with former member of parliament and singer Mumtaz Begum as the main accused. Also, the police and the leaders and activists in important positions of Awami League have been made accused.
On Wednesday (September 9) after 11 and a half years, son of deceased Yusub Ali of Gobindal village. Sahidul Islam (50) filed the case in the Manikganj Senior Judicial Magistrate Court as the plaintiff.
Before that, on February 24, 2013, the incident occurred on the south side of Gobindal New Bazaar Bus Stand in Singair Municipal Area. Apart from Mumtaz Begum, the notable defendants in the case are: former mayor of Singair Municipality, Mir Md. Shahjahan, Upazila Parishad former chairman Mushfiqur Rahman Khan Hannan, District Awami League vice-president Haji Abdul Majed Khan, Upazila Parishad's former chairman Md. Saidul Islam, General Secretary of Upazila Awami League. Shahidur Rahman Shahid, the former mayor of the municipality Abu Naeem Md. Bashar, former municipal commissioner Abdus Salam Khan, Md. Samej Uddin, General Secretary of Upazila Jubo League. Ramiz Uddin, former vice chairman of Upazila Parishad Engineer Rabiul Alam Ujjal, former organizational secretary of Upazila Abdul League Mo Abdul Barek Khan. Also accused among the Union Parishad chairmen: Md. Shaukat Hossain Badal, Md. Ramzan Ali, Md. Abul Hossain Molla, Gazi Kamruzzaman, Dewan Ripon and former chairman Abdul Halim Raju and many others who hold important posts.

In the details of the case, the plaintiff mentioned that on February 24, 2013, around 10 am, my brother Md. Nasir and I went to work on my own land on the west side of the bridge, south of the new market bus stand. At that time, several leaders and activists of Awami League and its allied organizations and the police were patrolling the bus stand. After some time, a group of Muslims wanted to march towards Singair Upazila Sadar with a procession and were stopped by the police. When there was a lot of tension between the two sides at the scene, the marchers scattered here and there.
In the meantime, a number of supporters of the government party and some people dressed in police uniform appeared at that place with foreign revolvers, Chinese pistols, native ramadas, Chamurai, Chinese axe, Chen, Kirich. After that they attacked the people of the village wearing police uniforms under the umbrella of the police armed with various types of lethal weapons. In this my brother md. Nasir and Alamgir of the same area, Nazimuddin Mulla and Shah Alam died. Besides, 10-12 people including Mamun, Helena, Lincoln, Anwar, Rubel, Farooq, Almash are under treatment in various hospitals and clinics.

Later, when I went to the police station to file a report regarding the attack, the police did not accept the case and said that a case has been filed. whose No.- 46(2)13, and Session Case No.- 455/2022. If you overdo it, I will make this case as the accused and issue the invoice.
The plaintiff in the case also mentioned that the copy of preserved surathal and post-mortem report must be summoned and used in this case. He also demanded a judicial inquiry into the case. Finally, he demanded that the accused should be arrested and brought to justice.
