Mother and daughter murdered by slitting throats in Khagrachari

A horrific murder has taken place in Ramgarh upazila of Khagrachari; a mother and daughter have been murdered by slitting their throats. Their bodies were recovered from Purba Bagantila area of Sadar Union of the upazila on Thursday (August 21) morning. The deceased have been identified as Amena Begum and Raihana Akhter.
Ramgarh Police Station OC Mohammad Moin Uddin said that initial suspicion is that the murder took place on Wednesday night. Only the mother and daughter were at home at the time of the incident. Their bodies were recovered this morning. How the incident happened is being investigated.
Police said that law enforcement officers are at the scene. Investigations are underway to uncover the cause of the murder and identify those involved.
