Bringing changes in the education system of new Bangladesh and improving the quality of life of primary school teachers is the need of the hour. In continuation of this, the assistant teachers of Amtali Upazila Primary School organized a human bond to raise their fair rights salary structure to the 10th grade. On Saturday morning, standards were held in front of the Upazila Parishad with the participation of the principal and assistant teachers of Amtali Upazila of Barguna.

Amtali Upazila Coordination Committee convener Sahidul Islam Jhantu presided over the hour-long human chain. AKM Zillur Rahman, senior vice president of Bangladesh Primary Teachers Association, was present as the chief guest in the human chain. Bangladesh Primary Teachers Association Joint General Secretary Md Akhtaruzzaman Zakir Khan, Amtali Upazila Primary Teachers Association President Md Rabiul Alam were special guests. Mamunur Rashid, Abdullah Al Mamun, Saima Akhtar, Dipankar Kanti, Khalilur Rahman, Nargis Parveen, Masum Billah Rubel, Tehsil Akon, Sonia Akhtar, Maqsuda Shilpi, Ferdous Alam Russell. Hundreds of teachers of the upazila participated in the human chain.
In response to the question of the justification of the demands of the teachers, they said that the promotion of primary school assistant teachers to grade 10 is the need of the hour. A government driver with 8th class gets 12th grade salary whereas a primary teacher with graduation gets 13th grade salary! The agitating teachers want an end to such discrimination.
