Suicide by hanging a school teacher with a tree by writing a note.

School teacher Nazrul Islam committed suicide by hanging himself with a mango tree after writing a note saying "I could not bear the torture of my wife". The incident took place in Haridrabaria village of Amtali upazila on Saturday morning. Nazrul Islam was an assistant teacher of North Tiakhali Chobahan Biswas Secondary School in Amtali Sadar Union.

It is known that Khadija, daughter of Dulal Bhuiya of the same village, got married to Nazrul Islam, son of Md. Khalek Khan of Haridrabaria village of the upazila, last year. His family claims that there was a quarrel in their marital life since the marriage. The couple has a one-year-old son. On Friday night there was a fight between husband and wife. On Saturday morning, wife Khadija Begum said with her cousin Ferdous Khan, I went to my father's house and your brother beat me. Saying this, wife Khajida Begum went to her father's house. Around 10:30 that day, locals found teacher Nazrul Islam hanging from a mango tree. On receiving the information, the police went and recovered his body. Later, his body was sent to Barguna General Hospital for post-mortem. At that time, the police recovered a note wrapped in Nazrul's clothes. A case of wrongful death has been filed at Amtali police station in this incident. After the incident, his wife Khajida Begum covered her body.
The elder brother of the deceased, Fordous Khan, said that his wife has been torturing my brother in various ways since marriage. Unable to endure his torture, my brother committed suicide by hanging himself. I demand punishment for my brother's killer.
Amtali police station OC Kazi Sakhawat Hossain Tapu said the body was recovered and sent to Barguna morgue for post-mortem. A case of wrongful death was registered in the police station in this incident.
