Mejbah Rahman, the original artist of the popular song 'Shravan Meghgulo Jadro Holo Akash' and vocalist of the band 'Different Touch', has spoken out in the face of the ongoing controversy on social media over the reel video of a primary school teacher from Fenchuganj, Sylhet. His clear statement is that there is nothing controversial or negative in the video; therefore, the matter should be viewed leniently and it would not be appropriate to take any kind of punitive action against the teacher.

In an interview given to the media, artist Mejbah Rahman said, "The appeal of this eternal rain song, composed in 1989 and released in 1990, has not diminished even after 36 years. However, recently it is being used as a kind of language of solidarity and protest on social media." After Fenchuganj teacher Beauty Pal made a reel video using this song, local criticism began and many teachers from all over the country, including her colleagues, made reels of the same song to show solidarity with her.

Reminding the status of teachers, Mejbah said, "Teachers have a very respected position in society and family. However, it is really incomprehensible what immorality or negative thing a particular group found in this video. In the current era, there is no way to deny social media, so it is not right to blame anyone solely on a single issue."

On the other hand, in the wake of this controversial incident, Upazila Education Officer Mohammad Sohel Mollah said that a preliminary investigation committee will be formed and the matter will be reported to higher authorities. However, the creator of the song, Mejbah Rahman, strongly demanded that a tolerant approach be maintained without taking any strict action in this regard.
