7 injured in fox bites in Panchagarh, panic in the area

Seven people were injured in fox attacks in different areas of Panchagarh Sadar Upazila in the dark of night. The injured suffered bite wounds on different parts of their bodies. Later, they went to Panchagarh Modern Sadar Hospital for treatment that night. The incident has spread panic among the locals.

On Monday (August 25) night, separate fox attacks occurred in different areas including Jagdal Sardarpara, Jamvita, Dewanhat Sairul Market in Panchagarh Sadar Upazila.

The injured are Mostafa (35), Biplob (23), Rina (38), Monira (40) of Sardarpara area, Awal (29) and Sourav (30) of Jamvita area and Joynal (35) of Basunia Para.

According to the injured and locals, the foxes suddenly attacked them separately while they were staying on different roads at night and gossiping. Some of them suffered bite wounds on their hands, feet and waist.

Later, the injured went to Panchagarh Modern Sadar Hospital for treatment. According to hospital sources, the injured have been given the necessary vaccines according to the type of wounds as they have multiple wounds on their bodies. After receiving primary treatment, they have returned home.

Dr. Mokhlesur Rahman, a doctor in the emergency department of Panchagarh Modern Sadar Hospital, said that seven people came to the hospital injured in a fox attack. They were given the necessary vaccines and primary treatment. Later, they returned to their respective homes.

The simultaneous occurrence of fox attacks in different areas has caused panic among the locals. Locals have advised not to go out of the house unnecessarily at night and to be vigilant about foxes.
