Akhaura tree 'standing' in a state of uproar, people gather with incense sticks and candles

A tree that was uprooted by a storm in Brahmanbaria's Akhaura Upazila has been uprooted after being cut down, creating a huge stir in the area. Hundreds of people are gathering to see the tree and many are making vows there.
According to local sources, the tree in Bachiara village of Mogra Union was uprooted by a storm a few days ago. Later, after it was cut down, locals claimed that a part of the tree is standing upright again. Since then, various discussions have started in the area about the tree.
Eyewitnesses said that although the base of the tree has been cut, it is still standing. Red cloth has been tied around the tree and many are lighting incense sticks and candles. People are coming from far and wide to see the tree.
Some of the local residents are claiming that the incident is miraculous and interpreting it as a "divine gesture". On the other hand, according to local woodcutters, the tree may have been cut down after being uprooted by a storm and there is no mystery behind it.
Meanwhile, locals said that the crowd around the tree is increasing day by day. There is also talk of increasing surveillance in the area to control the situation.
