BNP Central Executive Committee Co-Health Affairs Secretary Professor Dr. SM Rafiqul Islam Bachchu held a press conference protesting the publication of news with false, fabricated, baseless, arranged and misleading information. He said these things in a written statement at a press conference at Begum Ayesha Auditorium of Tamir Uddin Alim Madrasa, Mauna Chowrasta (Kewa West) on Tuesday (September 10) at 11:30 am.
In his written statement, he said that the leaders and activists of the autocratic government are engaged in propaganda against the country's largest political party, BNP. Last Monday (September 9), a news item was published in the daily Yugantar titled 'BNP to form committee to control fake business in Gazipur, Tk 400 million trade per month'. The news published false, fabricated, baseless, fabricated and fabricated news against me. In the news, I was identified as an advisor in that committee. Gazipur district and Sripur BNP has not formed any such committee. A party published news involving me by giving misleading information to the representative after failing to spread misinformation on social media. I am not aware of the news information and the representative publishes a fabricated report without taking my input. Leaders and activists including me are confused in that report. He protested and condemned the published news calling on journalists to refrain from reporting baseless news about me.
He said, I am involved in politics through Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal. Since then, I have been active on the streets in every movement with the leaders and activists from being associated with DAB, the largest association of doctors in BNP politics. I spent 61 days in jail in a case orchestrated by the dictatorial Hasina government.
He also said that no committee has been formed to control counterfeiting to my knowledge and I do not have any such information. He said that organizational action will be taken against anyone who is involved in the name of BNP and if there is concrete evidence of harassment in false cases including extortion.
