General Secretary of Awami League and Minister of Roads, Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader urged journalists to be careful so that no fake person can disrespect this great profession in the name of journalism. He also said, "We are careful not to harass any journalist."
He said these things at the establishment anniversary ceremony of Dhaka Reporters Unity on Sunday (May 26) afternoon.
He said, "In the name of journalism, a journalist does not write, does not read, does not understand the news, is not even close to it." I see many such people sitting in government offices. They are not real journalists. Be careful about this fake journalist.
He also said, 'Awami League government is not against criticism. Criticism purifies. Criticism is also given by us but it should be constructive.
At this time, the general secretary of Awami League paid tribute to the 108 journalists who were killed while covering the news of the massacre in Gaza.
