Six coordinators of the quota reform movement who were in the custody of the Detective Police (DB) were released on Thursday afternoon.
The coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement leading the quota reform movement announced yesterday that they will start a nationwide non-cooperation movement from tomorrow Sunday to protest against the recent killings and to realize their nine-point demand.
Today, they are holding a protest program across the country to realize the nine-point demand.
Mahin Sarkar, one of the coordinators of the movement, announced this program in a WhatsApp message at around 8 pm yesterday. People from all walks of life have been called upon to join this protest program to make the program successful.
The nine-point demands include: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's apology and resignation of Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, Education Minister Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury, Law Minister Anisul Haque, State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Muhammad Ali Arafat and State Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak.
