Students have given a 24-hour ultimatum to dismiss Jagannath University's anthropology department teacher Kamrunnahar's letter, which was posted on the social media Facebook, addressing students as sweepers.
They gave this ultimatum to the students in a meeting with the treasurer, deans of various faculties, department chairmen in the meeting room of the vice-chancellor of the university on Tuesday (August 13) morning.
At this time, the students said, we are ashamed to address Kamrunnahar's script as a teacher. He addressed the students volunteering across the country as sweepers. Besides, since the beginning of the Lipi movement, the so-called teacher has made offensive statements on Facebook against the students and has taken a stand for the oppressors. Meanwhile, the students warned of strict agitation if Kamrunnahar's script was not dismissed.
Kamrunnahar Lipi wrote in one of his Facebook posts on July 17, "If someone thought I was civil and neutral, they thought wrong. Those who have marched in front of the people demanding their self-proclaimed Razaka, I am their extreme opponent.
Kamrunnahar writes on his other Facebook page called Lipi Jhenaidah Shailkupa, "Report to the whole of Bengal, give 1 point of burial, don't say 1 point, don't burn your forehead."
