Market monitoring in association with consumer rights-students in Shariatpur

After the fall of the Awami League government, the country's market system has seen deadlock. In such a situation, market monitoring has been done in Shariatpur in coordination with the Department of Consumer Rights Protection and students. At this time, a businessman was given a cautionary fine.
On Tuesday (August 13) from 1:00 pm, monitoring was done in various businesses of Shariatpur's Angaria Bazar by consumer rights-students.
According to the sources of Consumer Rights Protection Directorate and students, after the fall of the Awami League government, like other institutions of the country, there has been extreme instability in the market of daily necessities. In order to protect the rights of consumers and traders to do business smoothly, market monitoring has been done in Angaria market of Shariatpur by the Directorate of Consumer Rights Protection and students.
At this time, the Department of Consumer Rights Preservation provided various guidelines for the protection of consumer rights, including displaying the price list of traders. A grocery store in the market has been fined for selling products at excessive prices and having expired products. Sujan Kazi, Assistant Director of Directorate of Consumer Protection Shariatpur and a team of students were present during the monitoring.

A student named Rokeya Israt Sweet told Dhaka Post that market monitoring has been done in coordination with the consumer rights protection department and ordinary students so that dishonest traders cannot increase the prices of common people's daily necessities. Common students will be in regular market monitoring with those who ensure people's rights including consumer rights.
Md. Another student named Jeeban Ahmed said that the students along with the Directorate of Consumer Rights Protection took part in the market monitoring to fix the fair price of daily essential products in the market. This campaign or monitoring will continue.

Sujan Kazi, assistant director of Consumer Rights Protection Directorate, Shariatpur, said, We have monitored Angaria market with the students. A businessman has been given a cautionary fine. Instructions to Traders—Price list must be displayed. Our monitoring will continue. Students will be with us.
