Visit to SP's Puja Mandap in Kalihati

Tangail Superintendent of Police (SP) Saiful Islam Santu expressed satisfaction with the law and order situation after visiting the Puja Mandap in Kalihati, Tangail. He said, there is no fear in celebrating the puja.

Tangail Police Superintendent Saiful Islam Santu visited Daulatpur Raibari Durga Puja Mandap of Narandia Union of Upazila on Saturday (October 12) noon.
He said that in each upazila of Tangail, the puja ceremony has been divided into three parts and a flawless security zone has been ordered at three levels. So far, no untoward incident has been reported in the upazila-based pavilions of Sara Tangail. Law and order forces have been put on high alert to maintain order in the pavilions.
The SP said that the maximum security will be strengthened till the last ceremony of Dasami. In order to control the overall situation of the puja, the president and general secretary of each temple have been instructed to provide round-the-clock electricity, install CCTV cameras and facilitate other emergency services.

Saiful Islam Santu expressed his satisfaction with the overall situation of the Puja Mandap of Kalihati Upazila. Besides, Additional Superintendent of Police Crime Division Sharfuddin (promoted), other senior police officers of the district, Kalihati police station officer-in-charge Mohammad Abul Kalam Bhunya and journalists from various print and electronic media were present.
