Residential bus out of control in Tangail, 1 killed, 15 injured

The bus lost control and fell on a residence in Tangail's Bhuyapur upazila. A pedestrian has been killed. 15 more people were injured in this incident.
The accident took place on Wednesday (September 25) morning at Kuthiboyra Bazar Mor area of Bhuyapur Upazila. The deceased Abdul Halim (54) is a resident of Kuthibayra village. Sharmin Akhtar, the wife of the house owner's son, said, I was sleeping in the house. Suddenly I heard a loud noise. I thought a tree fell on the house. But later I saw the head of the car on the house. When I got stuck in it, people came and rescued me.
The child was away so the accident was avoided. Besides, my mother-in-law was in the other room, she was injured.
According to eyewitnesses, two passenger buses named SS Travel and Bhai Bhai Paribahan, leaving from Dhaka, were traveling at a reckless speed. Suddenly the SS Travels bus lost control and fell on a residential house, crushing a pedestrian.
In this regard, Bhuyapur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rezaul Karim said that after receiving the news of the accident, the police was sent to the spot. An elderly pedestrian died in the accident. Apart from this, 15 more people were injured.
