The bodies of 4 children who went missing while bathing in the Brahmaputra river at Nageshwari in Kurigram have been recovered from different areas downstream.
Nageshwari upazila administration has given financial support checks to the families of the 4 children in this incident.

Narayanpur Union Parishad Chairman Mostafizur Rahman Mostafa was present at this time.
It is to be noted that on September 11, Wednesday, 4 children went missing after going down to bathe in the Brahmaputra river in Bagmara area of Narayanpur union of Nageshwari upazila. The next day, on Thursday morning, the body of one person was recovered and in the afternoon, the locals found the body of one person from Raniganj area of Chilmari upazila and one person from Mollapara area.
Another body was recovered on Friday. The 4 children killed are Ahad Ali's elder daughter Ankhi Moni (11) and son Atiq Hasan (8), Nazrul Islam's son Nazmul Hasan (08) and Alam Mia's son Jewel Rana (8) of Baghmara village of Narayanpur Union. Upazila Executive Officer Sibbir Ahmed said that the matter is very sad and painful. My deepest condolences to the bereaved families. Later, those families will be supported by the district administration.
