Three times popular chairman of Salimabad Union in Nagarpur, Tangail. Emdad Hussain has passed away (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Raziun). He died on Saturday (September 14) at approximately 2:30 pm in a specialized hospital in the capital.

He was 69 years old at the time of his death. President of Nagarpur Upazila Jatiya Party has expressed deep grief and sorrow over his death. Samchul Haque Thandu, BNP president Bir Muktijoddha MA Chalam and former commander Bir Muktijoddha Md. Suzayet Hossain along with other public representatives, political and civil society personalities. They prayed for the forgiveness and peace of the departed soul and extended their deepest condolences to the bereaved family. The funeral of the deceased was held at Ghunipara ground on Saturday at 3 pm and later the burial was completed.

It should be noted that prominent social worker and politician. Emdad Hossain, he was the founder of Ghunipara Abdur Rashid High School. He was also a former three-time chairman of Salimabad Union Parishad, two-time president of Nagarpur Upazila Jatiya Party and VP and GS of Nagarpur Government College Students' Union. He is survived by a wife, a son and numerous well-wishers and relatives.
