Human chain to demand removal of UP Chairman in protest against threat to Samakal representative

Habibullah Ghatail Press Club and civil society organized a human chain around 11 am in front of Ghatail Upazila Parishad on Monday to protest the threat and demand the removal of the chairman.

Azhar Uddin said, we know how he became the chairman by stealing votes during the Awami League period. Addressing the chairman, he further said, 'You are an Awami League leader, everyone knows that. Now he wants to change his shell and become a leader of Jamaat, this is also seen by people. Tangail Press Club member and Desh TV journalist Atiqur Rahman said in his speech, "But we know how you became the chairman." We have already received information that you are establishing a reign of terror in the area. Be careful, you won't get away with corruption. It's time to unveil your mask. The people of Sagardighi will not leave you. President of Ghatail Press Club Mohammad Kamal Hossain said in his speech that our contemporary Ghatail correspondent Masum Mia is doing the best and most fearless and brave journalism at present. I consider him the voice of Ghatail Press Club. Recently, he threatened Masum Mia to break her arms and legs for publishing the news of Sagardighi UP Chairman's corruption. We strongly condemn this incident. He demanded proper investigation of the published news
