Autorickshaw driver hacked to death in Savar

An autorickshaw driver named Shajahan Khan (24) was hacked to death in Birulia Union of Savar Upazila. After receiving the information, the police recovered his body from the spot.
It is believed that the robbers tried to hijack his autorickshaw.
On Wednesday (August 28), the body of autorickshaw driver Shajahan was recovered from a secluded place next to the Eidgah ground in Birulia's Kaliakoi.
The deceased Shajahan Khan Gaibandha District Sadar Thana Konarpara area. Son of Rafiqul Islam. He lived by driving an autorickshaw from a rented house in Palawan next to a primary school in Uttar Rajashan area of Savar Municipality.
Quoting the locals, the police said, seeing a bloody and wounded body at the spot in the afternoon, the locals reported to the police station. After receiving information, the body of the young man named Shajahan was recovered from the spot. The autorickshaw was lying beside him. The side of the wheel of the autorickshaw breaks during rush or during the collision. Because of which the police is assuming that the rickshaw could not be taken away.
Sub-Inspector (SI) Savar Model Police Station Rajeev Shikder said, after receiving information, the body was recovered from the spot. The body of the deceased has multiple marks of deep wounds. Further legal action in this regard is under process.
