The country's cricket board chief Mohsin Naqvi hinted at a 'major surgery' in the Pakistan team after the T20 World Cup failure. By major surgery he basically meant major changes. But in the end, no big change actually came to the Pakistan team. After losing the first Test of the two-match series against Bangladesh in Rawalpindi last night, Naqvi hinted at a major change in the Pakistan team.

Pakistan's victory in Test cricket at home got a little longer with a 10-wicket loss to Bangladesh. With this, they are winless in 9 consecutive matches at home. 5 of them were lost, 4 were draws.

After the loss to Bangladesh, Naqvi told the Pakistani press, "If God wills, I will solve the problem of Pakistan cricket." More changes are coming.''

After Pakistan's defeat, Naqvi, however, gave hope to the team's supporters in the media yesterday. Congratulating the Bangladesh team for the historic victory, Naqvi said that Pakistan will turn around in the second Test.

Earlier, after the team's failure in the T20 World Cup, Naqvi had said, 'I thought that a minor surgery would fix everything. Now after such a poor performance it is clear that major changes are needed. The nation will see a change very soon.
