Nahid Islam will resign from his post as an advisor on Tuesday and a new political party will debut next Wednesday. The new party, led by youth, will debut through a grand ceremony on Manik Mia Avenue adjacent to the National Parliament. This information was obtained after discussions with the leaders of the National Citizens Committee and the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.

The leaders of the National Citizens Committee said that Ramadan will begin in March, so the party is planned to debut by February. They are preparing to ensure the presence of about 100,000 people at the ceremony.

Several committees have been formed for the party's debut, including the event preparation committee, the constitution and manifesto preparation committee. These committees are meeting regularly, and the latest meeting was held on Friday.

Earlier, the Citizens Committee ran a campaign titled 'A New Bangladesh in Your Eyes', in which more than 350,000 people participated and their opinions are being verified.

In this regard, Akhtar Hossain, member secretary of the Citizens' Committee, said, "We have already started a public opinion survey program and have received millions of data. Hopefully, the party's official journey will begin by the end of next week."

The name of the party and organizational structure have not yet been finalized, but discussions are underway on the top positions. Although Nahid Islam has been finalized as the convener, Akhtar Hossain's name is almost certain for the post of member secretary. Other important positions include Nasiruddin Patwari, Ali Ahsan Junayed, Samantha Sharmin, Sarjis Alam and Hasnat Abdullah.

Ali Ahsan Junayed said in a post on Facebook, "Some questions have arisen about the formation process and leadership of the National Citizens' Committee, which are being resolved through discussions so that they do not remain in the new party."

Meanwhile, a new organization of anti-discrimination students may be announced today, with Abu Baker Majumder as its central convener and Zahid Ahsan as its member secretary.

Although preparations for the new party are underway, further discussions are needed on the formation process and leadership.
