Rajshahi: Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General (Retd.) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury delivered a speech at the closing parade of the training of the 40th BCS police cadre trainee assistant superintendents of police at the Bangladesh Police Academy Sardah in Rajshahi on Sunday.
He gave instructions to the police force at the event and said, "Police will never act illegally as a messenger of any party. Bangladesh Police are independent employees of the Republic and their duty is to establish the rule of law and ensure the security of all citizens of the country."
The Health Advisor also said, "Bangladesh Police will not behave unprofessionally while implementing the agenda of any party, rather they will work tirelessly to establish the rule of law while being loyal to the state."
He also mentioned that out of the 66 trainees in this batch, 6 were discharged due to allegations against them and the remaining 57 trainees participated in the graduation parade.
Senior officers of the police force were also present at the event.
