BGB has said that there is no secret about the visit of Border Guard Bangladesh Director General Major General Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui to India.
A post on the BGB's verified Facebook page mentioned that some news published in some media outlets in the country about the BGB chief's India visit is creating confusion and thereby damaging the image of the BGB.
The post said that on December 27, an information regarding the BGB-BSF Director General-level border conference was published on the Facebook page. The conference will be held in New Delhi, India from February 17-21. Representatives of the relevant ministries and organizations, in addition to the BGB, will participate in it.
BGB also said that details have been given in the press briefing of the Home and Foreign Ministries. BGB requests the public to refrain from spreading misleading information.
