Metrorail closed, passengers suffer

Metrorail movement on Agargaon-Motijheel-Agargaon route has been stopped since morning due to the spring of a viaduct near Farmgate metrorail station in the capital. Many people had to get down in the middle of the road as the metro rail movement was stopped. As a result, passengers going to work including office going passengers have suffered. Due to sudden pressure of more passengers on the road, traffic jam has been created in the surrounding area of Agargaon. Passengers started suffering after 9:30 am on Wednesday.
DMTCL has officially informed about the partial suspension of metro rail movement, due to unavoidable reasons, train movement from Agargaon to Motijheel section is temporarily suspended from 9:40 am. However, trains are still running on the Uttara North to Agargaon section. Agargaon to Motijheel section will be informed if the train movement is normal
