One of the most successful horror franchises in Hollywood history, ‘The Conjuring’ is ready to strike fear in the audience once again. So far, eight films in the franchise have been released, each of which has been a success at the box office. The latest, ‘The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It’, released in 2021, was unexpectedly popular even during the Corona pandemic.
After four years, the ninth installment, ‘The Conjuring: Last Rites’, is being released. The movie will also be seen on the big screen in Star Cineplex in Bangladesh on the international release day of September 5.
Directed by Michael Chavez, this new installment will once again feature Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga. They are playing the roles of Ed and Lauren Warren, who are known worldwide as paranormal investigators. James Wan and Peter Safran are still involved as producers.
This story is based on a terrifying supernatural event that occurred in 1986 around the Smerle family in Pennsylvania, USA. The couple, Jack and Janet Smerle, encountered terrifying experiences in their home, such as strange smells, scary sounds, black shadows, and physical injuries. They later brought the matter to light, which caused a huge stir in the media at the time and was also included in their book.
All in all, like the previous series, ‘The Conjuring: Last Rites’ is going to be another successful addition to the franchise. For horror lovers, it will undoubtedly be a thrilling experience on the big screen.
