Barisal Board increased pass rate, 4167 students obtained GPA-5

The pass rate of Barisal Education Board in HSC exam 2024 is 81.85 percent. This year a total of 66 thousand 87 students participated in the examination. Out of which 54 thousand 89 students passed and 4 thousand 167 students got GPA-5.
Barisal Education Board Controller of Examination Professor Arun Kumar Gain presented the result statistics in a press conference at 11:00 on Tuesday (October 15).
This year a total of 31 thousand 993 male and 34 thousand 94 female students participated in the examination. 24 thousand 367 male students and 29 thousand 722 female students passed out. This time also the pass rate and GPA-5 of female students are higher than that of boys.
Compared to last year, the number of students who obtained GPA-5 has increased by 174. The pass rate in the board was 80.65 percent in 2023, which has increased to 81.85 percent this year.
This time Jhalkathi district is ahead in terms of pass rate. According to the board statistics, 21 educational institutions have 100% pass rate. However, no institution has failed 100%.
Barisal Education Board Chairman Prof. Yunus Ali Siddiqui congratulated the students, teachers and parents for the good results and said that this success is due to the hard work of the students, the right guidance of the teachers and the right support of the parents.
