Three injured in attack by land grabbers in Savar

Three members of the same family were allegedly seriously injured in an attack by alleged land grabbers in Savar over a land dispute. The injured are Qadir Hossain (Raju) of Bhakurta area, his father Abdul Ali and sister Sharmin Akhter.
According to the complaint source, there was a long-standing dispute over the ownership of about 5.20 percent of land in Chunarchar Mouza of Bhakurta area under Savar police station. It is alleged that on March 22, the opponents forcibly occupied about 1 percent of the land. A written complaint was filed with Savar Model Police Station on April 2 in this incident.
In continuation of this, on April 24, at around 2 pm, the accused Qiam Uddin (45), Tariqul Islam (23), Baijid Bostan (67), Abul Kashem (36), Rahima Begum (43), Rashida Begum (64) and Ayesha Begum (42) along with 7/8 other unidentified persons carrying country-made weapons came in front of the victims' house and carried out an ambush attack.
The complaint states that the attackers beat them indiscriminately with machetes, iron rods and batons. As a result, Kadir Hossain's father suffered serious head injuries. Kadir Hossain and his sister Sharmin Akhter were also beaten when they tried to protect him. At one point, it is alleged that Tariqul Islam hit Kadir Hossain with an iron rod, breaking his right hand.
Later, the injured were rescued and first taken to Savar Upazila Health Complex and then admitted to Enam Medical College Hospital in Savar for advanced treatment. They are currently undergoing treatment there.
The victim's family claims that the accused threatened to kill them after the attack. Due to this, they are suffering from extreme insecurity and fear of being attacked again at any time.
In this incident, Kadir Hossain has filed a written complaint against the above-mentioned people at Savar Model Police Station. The police said that the complaint will be investigated and necessary legal action will be taken.
