Inauguration of road naming after martyr Roman Bepari in anti-discrimination movement in Madaripur

In Madaripur, students of anti-discrimination movement have inaugurated the naming of the road from Khagdi Bus Stand to Roman Bepari Bari Bhadrakhola, the branch road of Mustafapur to Madaripur four-lane highway, after the martyr of anti-discrimination movement, Roman Bepari. This naming was inaugurated by pulling a banner in front of the branch road next to Khagadi bus stand of Madaripur Sadar Upazila around 11 am on Saturday. Earlier in the morning, the students went to the house of martyr Roman and visited his grave.

Asadur Rahman Khan, member of the presidium of the central committee of the Jatiya Gontantric Party inaugurated as the chief guest. Among others, former Naib Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islam Kazi Abul Bashar, secretary general of district branch Maulana Mokhlesur Rahman, leader of anti-discrimination movement Abdur Rahman and Saikat general student and martyr Roman's father, only daughter, wife and his family members were present.

It is to be noted that Roman Bepari of Madaripur's Ghatmazhi Union was martyred along with ordinary students on July 19 after being shot by the police and the leaders of the dictatorial government in Madaripur's anti-discrimination student movement. The martyr's family consists of elderly parents and siblings including wife, a 6-year-old daughter.
