Shanta Holdings has set a new milestone in the country’s real estate sector. The company’s much-awaited “Shanta Pinnacle” project has been officially handed over, creating new history as the country’s first fully constructed 40-storey building.
The project was officially handed over at a ceremony held on the 40th floor of this 500-foot-tall building located in the Tejgaon area of the capital Dhaka on Saturday (April 18). Shanta Holdings Chairman Khandaker Monir Uddin, along with senior officials, managing director, landowner, customer and architect Ehsan Khan were present at the ceremony.
This project is being considered a unique example of modern technology and international standards in the construction sector of Bangladesh. ‘Shanta Pinnacle’ has set new standards as the country’s first complete skyscraper, which is a groundbreaking addition to the development of commercial infrastructure.
The building also holds special significance in terms of eco-friendly and sustainable development. It has achieved the globally recognized LEED Platinum standard, which is one of the highest recognitions for eco-friendly construction. In addition, it has been constructed following modern fire safety standards and the building's earthquake resistance has been further strengthened with the design assistance of Singapore-based Meinhard.
'Pinnacle' has also set a new example in construction technology. A record has been set for completing the slab in just 7 days using an aluminum framework. In addition, advanced centrifugal chillers, air purification systems and energy-saving technologies have made the building environmentally friendly and efficient.
The building has 8 high-speed elevators, integrated IBMS system, wind tunnel testing and advanced glazing technology to ensure safety, durability and user comfort.
The successful implementation of 'Shanta Pinnacle' is a reflection of Shanta Holdings' modern thinking, quality construction and efficient management. Those concerned have expressed hope that the organization will continue to play an important role in Dhaka's urban development and creating an international standard work environment in the future.
