Three killed in truck-motorcycle collision in Ghoraghat

Three people were killed in a horrific collision between a truck and a motorcycle in Ghoraghat upazila of Dinajpur. The accident occurred on the Dinajpur-Gobindaganj highway in the Raniganj Bazar area of ​​the upazila on Saturday (May 23) morning. After the incident, the police seized the truck involved in the accident and a helper of the truck was arrested.

According to police and local sources, three riders were riding a motorcycle together on the highway. At that time, a speeding truck coming from the Dinajpur direction hit the motorcycle hard. The motorcycle was twisted and twisted due to the intensity of the collision and the three riders were seriously injured.

Although the locals rushed to the spot, it is said that the three died on the spot due to the severity of the injuries. On receiving the information, the Ghoraghat police reached the spot and recovered the bodies.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ghoraghat police station Shahidul Islam said that the truck was seized after the accident. In addition, a helper of the truck was arrested and taken to the police station. Efforts are underway to identify the deceased.

Police said preparations are underway to send the bodies for autopsy and legal proceedings are ongoing in the entire incident.
