Outside the Khulna University campus, slogans were raised against the quota reform movement late on Monday night. In protest, the agitating students held a demonstration in front of the hall road and the main gate of the campus at night.

The students said that they heard 'Joy Bangla' slogan outside the campus after two o'clock last night. 20-30 people on 10-15 motorcycles came and marched on Hall Road. This spread panic among the students. Later around 2.30 am students came out from all the halls and protested on Hall Road. The procession started from the front of Khanjahan Ali Hall. The protest march which lasted for an hour ended at the main gate of the campus through Hall Road. From there, it was announced to hold a sit-in program in the zero point area today at 12 noon on Tuesday.
The students said that the Chhatra League attacked the students who were agitating for quota reforms in various universities last night. They were listening to those news at night. After two o'clock when everyone went to sleep, they heard the slogan 'Joy Bangla'. They thought that Chhatra League might have attacked the campus. So everyone panicked. Within a few moments, everyone united and took a position in front of each hall. Later they held a protest march.
Monirul Islam, officer-in-charge of Harintana police station, said, "Suddenly, the students came out of the campus late at night and held a protest march." At that time, the students came rushing to see the police car. Seeing the bad situation, the police quickly moved away from there. However, we still do not know why they held a protest march that night. But later I heard that a rumor was spread among the students.
