Sharsha Upazila has CCTV in 28 Puja Mandap

Sharsha Upazila and Benapole Municipality of Jessore are coming, Sharidiya Durga Puja, the largest religious festival of traditional religions for 5 days, is going to start on Wednesday 9th October with Shashti Puja. Autumn Durga Puja is being held in 28 puja mandaps this year. Among them there are 7 places of worship in Benapole municipality. This time there is CCTV for security in 28 puja mandaps in the upazila.
Meanwhile, the work of painting, dressing and adorning the idols in each of the puja mandapas is almost over. At the last minute, every mandap is being decorated with fancy lights and decorations to make it attractive.
On the other hand, as per the government directives, this year too, like last year, every mandap has been brought under CCTV surveillance.

The country's largest land port belongs to Port Thana of Benapole municipality bordering the upazila. Apart from the Benapole Patbari Public Puja Mandap, this time Puja will be held in the most pompous and magnificent manner as usual in the Mandap. Devotees and visitors from all over the country will come here during the puja ceremony.
According to the information of the Upazila Administration and Puja Udjar Parishad, this year the Upazila and Benapole Municipalities are under Port Thana. Already, 500 kg of government allocated rice has been provided to each puja mandap. Special security arrangements have been made to maintain law and order to avoid any untoward incident during the puja festival. Full-time police, Ansar VDP members, Social Harmony Committee and Puja Mandap Volunteer Committee will be deployed. Apart from this, policemen, BGB and army personnel in plain clothes will be on patrol.
Teacher Baidyanath Das, President of the Upazila Puja Celebration Parishad, said that this year's Durga Puja is being held under CCTV in 7 puja mandas under Sharsha Upazila 21 and Benapole Municipal Council, Port Police Station.
Benapole Port Police Station and Sharsha Police Station OC Suman Bhadra and Sheikh Moniruzzaman said that this year Durga puja is being held in 28 puja mandaps under 2 police stations. Special security arrangements have already been made to maintain law and order to avoid any untoward incident during the puja festival.
