Father killed in Tangail, son arrested on charges

In Mangalhor village of Patrail union of Tangail's Delduar upazila, the son threw the dead body into the toilet well after killing his old father.
On Tuesday (September 24) morning, the police recovered the body of the old man from the well of the toilet. The deceased Shamsul Mia (74) was a document writer. Shamsul Alam was missing since last Friday night. Since that day, son Sattar Miao (41) disappeared from home. Later, after locals arrested Sattar, his father's body was found according to his confession.
Accused son Sattar Mia said, My father separated my family. Don't give money. I can't manage my family properly. When I get hungry around 2 am on Saturdays, I go to my father's house.
Father asked me why did you come home? When there is an argument, I sit on top of my father and put my hands on his throat. After a lot of fighting, I tied my neck with a veil. My father died of it. When death was confirmed, I left the body in the toilet drain and ran away.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Delduar Police Station Soheb Khan said that the body was recovered and sent to Tangail General Hospital morgue for post-mortem after receiving information from the locals. The victim's son Sattar has been arrested in this incident.
