2 women arrested with 20 kg ganja in Raipura

Raipura Thana police arrested two women drug dealers with 20 kg of ganja in an anti-drug operation in Raipura of Narsingdi. The arrested are Asma Akhtar (23) and Rina Akhtar (45), residents of Akhaura Upazila of Brahmanbadia district. Additional Superintendent of Police Shamsul Arefin confirmed this information that they were arrested on Sunday (September 22) afternoon.
He said that under the direction of District Superintendent of Police Md. Abdul Hannan, as part of a special anti-arms and anti-narcotics operation, a smart team of police led by Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Raipura Police Station Mohammad Abdul Jabbar, on the basis of a tip-off, concealed Kostep Dara in front of the primary teacher training school of the municipality using a novel technique. Two women drug dealers were arrested with 20 (twenty) kg of ganja wrapped. He also said that the arrested persons and recovered drugs are in the custody of Raipura police station. Ruju also said that a regular case against them is under process.
