The police recovered the body of an unidentified old man (55) with his throat slit in Ataikula of Santhia upazila of Pabna.

The body was recovered from a paddy field in Chulkatai Bayanapara village of Bhulbaria Union around 10 am on Wednesday (September 18).

Ataikula Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mizanur Rahman confirmed the matter. He said that in the morning, the locals informed the police station after seeing the body lying inside a paddy field of Chulkatai Bayanapara of Bhulbaria Union. The body was recovered from the spot and taken to the police station. Preparations are underway to send it to the morgue for autopsy.

The initial idea of ​​the police is that miscreants may have slaughtered him at some point of the night. They killed from another place and left the body in a paddy field of that area. The identity of the deceased is not yet known.

However, the police are working to confirm the identity of the deceased. The mystery of the murder will be revealed quickly. OC said that legal action is under process.

Bakul Hossain Pramanik, a member of Bhulbaria Union Parishad, said that he went to the spot and saw the dead body after receiving word of mouth. No one in the area recognizes him. We have informed many places to know the identity. Photos of the dead bodies have also been posted on social media.
